HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

During the call, the two leaders reviewed relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various areas of cooperation. They also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, Syria, and Lebanon.

In this regard, Sheikh Tamim and the French president stressed the need to reach an immediate ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, release hostages and prisoners, facilitate the entry of aid, and prevent the worsening of the humanitarian disaster in the Strip.

The call also addressed developments related to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, with both sides stressing the need to intensify efforts to end the war.
