His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani graced the graduation ceremony of the 16th batch of graduates of Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College at its headquarters earlier today.

Several other dignitaries and top-ranking officials from Qatar as well as other friendly countries were present on the occasion.

These included: HE Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani; Chief of Staff of the Army of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa; Operations and Training Assistant in Kuwait Major General Faleh Shuja Al-Otaibi; the Commander of the Military Academy of Cherchell in Algeria Major General Salmi Pasha; and the Commander of the Royal Military Academy in the Kingdom of Morocco Major General Hassan Al-Taeik, among others.

Leaders of academic and training institutes in the field of security and military from brotherly countries in addition to local officers from Qatar’s Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya, and the State Security Bureau, as well as parents of the graduates, also joined the event.

Following the national anthem, HH the Amir reviewed the queue of the 158 graduates, hailing from Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and Mauritania.

HH the Amir also honored the top 11 outstanding candidates.

The 16th batch then handed over the flag to the 17th batch and then the order of promotion was read.

The ceremony ended with the officers of the graduating batch taking the oath and performing the national anthem.
