HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.
While the two leaders conducted talks which dealt with the latest developments in Sudan, Bashir briefed HH The Amir about the challenges currently facing the republic, reported Gulf Times.

HH The Amir said his country was always committed to seeing the unity and stability of Sudan maintained. The talks also focused on developments of the peace process in Darfur, with the Sudanese president thanking Qatar’s role in enhancing it, reported The Peninsula.
The session also discussed bilateral ties, in addition to regional and international developments.

Some ministers from the two countries also attended the meeting.
After conclusion of the successful talks, the Sudanese president was seen off from the Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Qatar’s Ambassador to Sudan HE Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Kubaisi and Sudan’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Fath Al Rahman Ali Mohamed, reported Qatar Tribune.
