Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has carefully monitored the ongoing pandemic situation and decided to revise its visitor policy, given the decline in the number of Covid-19 cases in Qatar.
Starting Tuesday, February 15, HMC’s non-Covid-19 facilities will open daily from 11 am–8 pm. The decision comes after a careful assessment of the daily number of cases being reported by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). The number of cases reported on February 15 was 547 cases, which is a steep drop from the 4,000+ cases that were reported in January.

Qatar’s population has swiftly overcome the third wave of the pandemic and the number of vaccinated people has also seen rise. MoPH reports that nearly 87.4% of the population has received their vaccine doses.
HMC’s revised policy allows a maximum of two visitors at any time. Visitors have to continue to show their green Ehteraz status upon entry into the facilities and must wear a face mask at all times within the premises. Everyone must adhere to the prescribed precautionary measures as suggested by MoPH and practice social distancing.
