Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has communicated health tips for patients living with hypertension, diabetes, and heart conditions.

The health tips were communicated on HMC’s Twitter account as Eid Al-Fitr holidays are upon us.

According to HMC, patients living with hypertension are to avoid fat-rich and fried food. Additionally, it is recommended to drink adequate quantities of water and practice walking daily.

Patients with heart conditions are to reduce intake of salt, fats, and avoid taking large meals. Moreover, patients with heart conditions should avoid taking large quantities of fluids with food meals.

Furthermore, patients with diabetes are advised to not over-eat sweets and carbohydrates to avoid high blood sugar.
It is recommended that diabetics have 5 to 6 small meals per day, take medications regularly, and take the time to exercise regularly.
