Yesterday, a Kuwaiti delegation visited Hamad International Airport (HIA) to learn more about Qatar's experience in security and its use of modern technology to manage the movement of passengers.
Kuwait’s Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Ports Security Affairs Major, General Mansour Mohamed al-Awadhi headed the delegation.

The visit complements the commitment of the two brotherly countries to cement ties through increased coordination, cooperation and exchange of experiences.
The Kuwaiti delegation gained insights into the security system and modern equipment used by HIA’s security and passport departments for inspection and control to ensure the security and safety of passengers and civil aviation traffic.
Director of Airport Security Department, Brigadier Issa Arar Al Rumaihi said that this visit comes within the framework of exchanging experiences and co-operation in enhancing airport security.

The Kuwaiti delegation was briefed on the modern systems used by the Airport Security Department to maintain the security and safety of passengers and civil aviation traffic, he pointed out.
Director of Airport Passports Department, Brigadier Mohamed Rashid Al Mazrouei said that the Kuwaiti team praised the electronic gates and eye scanning systems at HIA.
Kuwait's Major General Al Awadhi lauded the security measures in place at HIA. He further highlighted the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior's keenness to continue cooperation with its counterpart in Qatar at various levels, most importantly the security of ports.
