La Mer Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha will participate in the global celebration of French Gastronomy, Goût de France on 19 March 2015 to mark the beginning of spring.

High atop the 23rd floor of the luxury hotel located in the center of Doha, La Mer restaurant features modern cuisine and expansive ‎views of ‎the Arabian Gulf, creating a perfect backdrop to the extraordinary interior design and ‎soothing ambience for such a momentous occasion.‎

The Goût de France - ‘Good France’, will celebrate French gastronomy in various locations worldwide. Over 1,000 chefs will be participating in the event across five continents, with dinners served simultaneously in partaking restaurants, honoring French cuisine and its global popularity.

The theme of the event is to bring restaurants from all over the world together for the first time to celebrate French gourmet cooking that has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2010.

This global event is organized at the initiative of the famous French Chef, Alain Ducasse, and the ‎French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Mr Laurent Fabius.‎
