Volunteers will play a crucial and active role in its success, because they play more than 30 different roles and assist 45 operational areas of the competition. At Least 20,000 volunteers are expected to support the operational aspects of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the first edition of the international competition to be held in the Arab world and the region, which will begin on November 21 until December 18. This was confirmed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in a statement released yesterday. Eight stadiums designed to the highest standards are used for its competition.

During a formal ceremony conducted in the open theater of the Katara Cultural Village last March, the International Football Association (FIFA) announced the opening of applications to take part in the volunteer program for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Since then, thousands of applicants from more than 170 countries have been interviewed for the program. Additionally, volunteers who supported events held in Qatar under the authority of FIFA, such as the Club World Cup 2020 and the Arab Cup 2021, also assisted with the process of conducting the interviews.

Those who are interested in volunteering must complete the following steps:-

  1. Sign up here.
  2. Complete the application form,
  3. Take part in assessment experiments via an online game
  4. Schedule an interview.

Candidate standards:
