Camila Herrera, our go-to Nutritionist-Dietician here in Qatar, has more than 7 years’ experience in her field, including working with members of the royal family. This week she shared her meal menu with us for a thorough detox. Although its not exactly a plan for the faint of heart, it contains a well-rounded variety of nutritious food that's just right for a serious fortnight detox.

So here goes:

 

EARLY MORNING

½ cup, yellow lemon fresh juice (2 lemons)

 

BREAKFAST

1 Green apple
½ cup fresh blueberries
Mix both fruits together and add 1 tablespoon of fresh oatmeal on the top

 

MORNING SNACK

5 fresh almonds
Cup of plain tea

 

LUNCH

½ cup cooked quinoa (5 tablespoon)

Grilled fish (no oil added). 80gr or a palm size fillet

1 big bowl of green and fresh salad with lemon or balsamic vinegar

 

AFTERNOON SNACK

1 kiwi
One hour later, drink one cup of plain tea

 

DINNER

Grilled fish (no oil added). 80gr or a palm size fillet
1 big bowl of green and fresh salad with lemon or balsamic vinegar

AHP Nutritionist-Dietician

Camila Herrera is a Nutritionist-Dietician, with more than 7 years’ experience in her field. After she graduated in her birth place (Ecuador), as a Food Engineer she completed a Minor in Human Nutrition and started her career.

In 2012, she moved to Qatar and started to work as a Nutritionist, attending counselling diets for medical and no medical patients of any age.

After 3 years she started to work with the “Royal Family” as their personal Nutritionist (her biggest challenge) and in the present days, she is part of EMC (European Medical Center).

and is the co-founder of the “be well-health food” slogan.
