Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced updated working hours for the government health sector during Ramadan, taking into account its special nature.

The MoPH stated that all emergency and inpatient services at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hospitals, including paediatric Emergency Centers, will continue to operate as usual around the clock throughout the week.

HMC outpatient clinics and the urgent consultation service will operate via the number 16000 from Sunday to Thursday, from 8am until 1pm throughout Ramadan.

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will also provide urgent care services at 14 health centers around the clock, seven days a week.

The MoPH stated that government healthcare institutions will announce the detailed working hours specific to their services.

The MoPH also announced the working hours for a number of its service departments during Ramadan, with the Medical Commission Department receiving visitors from 9am until 5pm.

The Department of Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad will receive visitors at the MoPH building from 9am to 1pm

Birth registration offices affiliated with the MoPH in government and private hospitals will operate in the morning from 9.30am to 1.30pm, while evening operations will be at the Birth Registration Office in the Women Wellness and Research Center from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

The Births and Deaths Committee at the MoPH will receive visitors during the holy month from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The Death Registration Unit will receive visitors at the Unified Office for Humanitarian Services from 9am to 5pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.

The Unified Healthcare Contact Center (16000) will operate around the clock, 7 days a week.
