Over the last couple of days, the Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced some road closures taking place around Qatar.
Have a look at the below to plan your routes accordingly and take alternative routes to save on your travel times:
B-Ring road (Partial Closure)

B-Ring road will be partially closed for six months, according to an announcement by Ashghal yesterday.
In effect since Saturday, February 1, 2020, the road closure is in one direction from Fereej Abselaziz intersection to Wadi Musheireb Interchange (Al Jaidah bridge).
The road closure will allow Ashghal to carry out the required construction works part of the B-Ring Road Development Project.
Ashghal has advised motorists to use Naser bin Khaled Intersection or Rawdat Al Khail Intersection as an alternative route (indicated on the map above).
Al Corniche Street (Traffic Shift)
A 10-month traffic shift is in place on Al Corniche Street since Friday, January 31.
The traffic shift is onto parallel lanes from Al Diwan Interchange toward National Theatre Intersection.
According to Ashghal, the shift is taking place with the support of the General Directorate of Traffic.
The traffic shift comes about as Ashghal continues to work on the pedestrian underpass.
Al Wakrah Main Road (One Lane Closure)
One lane on Al Wakrah Main Road between Pearl roundabout and Al Wakrah tunnel intersection has been closed for four months.
The closure was implemented on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Ashghal said the closure will facilitate construction works of the main road.
Mesaimeer Interchange (Traffic Change)

Ashghal has implemented a traffic diversion on Meaimeer Interchange since Friday, January 31, 2020.
The traffic signal that connects Rawdat Al Khail Street, Doha Expressway and Industrial Area Road has been removed.
The change comes in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic to complete essential works of the vital interchange.
There is a direct alternate link available for motorists coming from Rawdat Al Khail Street toward Industrial Area Road.
Additionally, those who wish to move between Doha Expressway and Industrial Area can do so through another alternate lane.
While these works are in progress, Ashghal has urged all road users to abide by the speed limits and follow the road signs installed along these routes.
We hope this information is helpful to you. Safe driving!
