The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will organize the Smart City Expo Doha 2022 on 29-30 March having the title "Sustaining A Future of Resilience" under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani.

The conference will feature 60 smart city experts and presenters, as well as high-profile local and international keynote speakers, more than 100 exhibitors, and 2,500 attendees from around 20 nations. The worldwide platform will cover a wide range of topics, including sustainable cities, reconfiguring digital public services, the global economy and digital readiness, and sports events in a connected society.

Msheireb Properties will host and organize this event. The Chief Executive of Msheireb Properties, Mr. Nasser Matar Al Kuwari, stated that Smart City Expo Doha 2022 is at par with Msheireb Properties' vision and goal to transform the present development pattern and provide smart cities that are sustainable in nature. 

Al Kuwari stated that accomplishing Qatar's National vision 2030 is of prime importance and Msheireb Properties is working towards establishing exactly that.

Today's most critical challenges of climate change, environmental sustainability, and smart urban planning will be stressed upon at the conference, stated Reem Mohammed Al Mansouri, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Society Development Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology during a press conference on Tuesday. The experts will exchange new ideas on urban development and debate how technology may enchance the quality of life in cities while also contributing to the expansion of a knowledge-based economy, according to her.

HE Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser Al-Thani, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, a platinum sponsor of the Smart City Expo Doha 2022, said that digital transformation is a vital pillar in the company's strategy, assuring the company's full commitment to achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

By being a part of the Qatar Smart Program, he emphasized on the company's pride in contributing to the promotion of growth and development in Qatar (TASMU).
