New Qatar Malls & Attractions Opening Late 2026

Late 2026 is bringing two major new arrivals to Qatar: Primark's first Qatar store at Doha Festival City on 29 October and Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience at QNCC from 6 December.

Alongside those new openings, several shopping destinations that launched or expanded earlier in 2026 — including Centro Mall in Rawdat Al Hamama — are also worth knowing about.

Primark opens in Qatar on 21 October

One of Qatar's biggest retail launches of the year is now officially dated.

Primark will open its first store in Qatar at Doha Festival City on 21 October 2026.

The store will be Primark's first entry into the Qatari market and will span three levels at Doha Festival City.

Shoppers can expect the brand's usual mix of:

• Womenswear
• Menswear
• Childrenswear
• Beauty
• Home products
• Everyday essentials

Alshaya says opening-day celebrations will also include entertainment, giveaways and activations.

This is a much stronger fit for your late-2026 article than Snoonu Arena.

Bubble Planet arrives at QNCC in December

Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience is officially opening at the Qatar National Convention Centre on 6 December 2026 and will run until 6 February 2027.

So change:

“expected to open on 6 December”

to:

“opens on 6 December 2026.”

Qatar Tourism has formally announced the date.

The attraction includes:

• A giant bubble-bath-style ball pit
• Virtual reality
• An illuminated underwater environment
• An infinity room
• Optical illusions
• 360-degree projections
• Interactive installations

Visit Qatar describes it as suitable for all ages.

Tickets

Qatar Tourism originally said ticket sales would go live in October. As of 14 October, the current Visit Qatar page shows a “Register now” option but does not yet display a public ticket price.

So keep:

rather than guessing.

Getting there

For QNCC, the most useful public-transport guidance is:

Doha Metro Green Line → Qatar National Library Station

From there, QNCC is around a 10–15 minute walk, or visitors can use the free Education City Tram, which has a QNCC stop.

Remove Snoonu Arena from this article

Snoonu Arena was real, and the details were largely correct — but it is now a past event.

The Mall of Qatar fan zone ran:

11 June–19 July 2026

10am–12 midnight daily

It featured:

• Live screenings of all World Cup matches
• Games and challenges
• Trivia
• Live entertainment
• Giveaways
• Fan activities

Entry was free, but visitors had to register through Snoonu City.

Since today is 14 October, it should not appear in a guide promising late-2026 openings.

If you're building a “what opened in Qatar in 2026” retrospective, then it can stay.

Centro Mall — already open in Rawdat Al Hamama

Centro Mall is a legitimate 2026 opening.

Current retail reporting says it officially opened in January 2026 in Rawdat Al Hamama.

It's positioned more as an outdoor lifestyle, shopping and leisure destination than a conventional enclosed mall.

Current listings include names such as:

• Flat White
• Pret A Manger
• Supernova
• The Toastery
• UFC Gym Qatar

Entertainment currently listed includes:

• Kidodo
• Scream Inc
• Novo Cinema.

There is also a Government Services Complex operating at Centro Mall, confirmed by the Ministry of Justice and Qatar Development Bank.

So I'd frame it as:

“One of Qatar's new 2026 malls to check out”

rather than a late-2026 opening.

Downtown Souq — don't say it opened in July 2026

This is the biggest factual problem in the mall section.

A recent Marhaba retail report says Downtown Souq opened in July 2026.

But that conflicts with much older evidence.

ILoveQatar published a full guide to Downtown Souq in January 2024, describing operating shops and cafés.

The Ministry of Municipality also held Eid Al Adha festivities there in June 2025.

R&B Fashion had also announced a Downtown Souq Al Khor store before 2026.

So I would not publish an opening date at all unless the mall itself clarifies whether July 2026 refers to a relaunch, expansion or formal completion.

Use:

Downtown Souq in Al Khor is an established shopping and leisure destination that has continued adding shops, dining and services.

Current listings show it operating in Building 67, Street 390, Al Khor.

Getting around

Mall of Qatar

Mall of Qatar has its own Metro stop:

Al Riffa Mall of Qatar Station — Green Line

Qatar Rail currently lists it directly by that name.

QNCC

For Bubble Planet:

Qatar National Library Station — Green Line

then walk or connect through the Education City Tram network to QNCC.

Doha Festival City

For Primark, Doha Festival City is easiest by car/taxi or via the Metro plus feeder connection; don't lump it together with QNCC or Mall of Qatar as though each mall has equally direct Metro access.
