Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced that the competent authorities arrested nine people today who violated the requirements of home quarantine.

In a statement to this effect, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) stated that the violating persons are being referred to the competent prosecution.

The concerned authorities called upon the citizens and residents who were subjected to domestic quarantine to strictly adhere to the conditions specified by the Ministry to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

The statement of the MoPH confirmed that everyone who violates these conditions will expose themselves to the penalties stipulated in accordance with the provisions of Article (253) of the Penal Code No. (11) of 2004 AD, and the provisions of Law No. (17) of 1990 regarding the prevention of infectious diseases, and Law No. (17)  for the year 2002 on protecting society.

The hotline adds to Qatar's tireless efforts to ensure the health and wellbeing of its population as it fights to contain the virus.

For any other queries or concerns related to COVID-19 in Qatar, the public can contact a 24/7 hotline set up by MOPH. The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.
