For people living in Qatar, the procedures to apply for good conduct or Police Clearance certificate has become simpler than ever before.
If earlier there was an extensive procedure in place, it can now be applied through the Metrash2 application or the Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) web portal, reported Gulf Times.

The certificates will help citizens in finding employment in government agencies and students in getting admission to prestigious institutions abroad.
The service was launched by the MoI’s Criminal Evidence and Information Department (CEID) in collaboration with the General Directorate of Information Systems at the ministry.
Meanwhile, the CEID opened an office for the issuance of Police Clearance Certificates at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) headquarters.
The centre will benefit citizens wishing to obtain these certificates for employment in government agencies or to provide them to institutions abroad where local students are enrolled.
Concurrently, The Criminal Evidence and Information Department in collaboration with the General Directorate of Information Systems also launched e-services for applying for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) through #Metrash2 mobile app and MOI Web portal. #MoIQatar pic.twitter.com/Jwn8DxQXeC
Abdullah Musallam Al Dosari, assistant undersecretary for Administrative Development Affairs at MADLSA, said any exchange student can now easily avail themselves a certificate of good conduct through the office at its headquarters.
The service will also be available to the candidates for employment in the ministries and various establishments of the state, reported Qatar Tribune.
The office aims to receive applications from citizens applying for government jobs, and Qatari students enrolled abroad. Last year, the department had received nearly 12,000 such requests, including those from 700 students that were submitted to MADLSA.
Citizens whose fingerprints have not been saved earlier can complete their fingerprinting and apply for a certificate of good conduct at the office directly.
Metrash2 will require applicants from outside the country to have an ID number and a fingerprint stored with the department.
Applicants can track the status of their request through the app.
