As the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Qatar continues to run successfully, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has reduced the age limit for the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to 60 years and above.
Until the announcement was made, the age threshold was 65 years and above for vaccine eligibility during the first phase of the drive.
The MoPH calls on people aged 60 years and over and people with severe chronic diseases to get the vaccination through 27 health centers across the country.

Qatar launched the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign on December 23, 2020, and it is set to continue until January 31, 2021.
The Ministry highlighted that individuals aged 60 and above, who haven't yet received a call or SMS for their vaccination, can call on the PHCC hotline 40277077 to set an appointment.
The Ministry also said that vaccinations at the health centers are only being administered to those who have pre-arranged appointments.
All community members who do not fall under the priority groups have been asked to wait until it is their turn.
