Qatar loves to be inspired by different cultures and the influence can be clearly seen in several aspects of daily life. While people in Qatar do enjoy their cup of karak, we have certainly borrowed the British afternoon tea tradition too. Also called the high-tea, these afternoon tea sets are quite popular in all the major hotels and tea lounges. It is not uncommon to see best friends, siblings, and colleagues sit back relaxing a selection of best teas alongside dainty scones and cute finger sandwiches.

Here are some great places to try afternoon teas in Qatar:

Jiwan

Jiwan by Alain Ducasse is a stunning set-up to enjoy your afternoon tea. The restaurant is named after the Qatari word for ‘perfect pearl’ and the whole interiors and décor pay homage to the local landscape of the desert and the sea. It is definitely an experience to be having an exquisite Sunset tea under nearly four million Swarovski glass beads while overlooking the beautiful corniche area.

The Torch Tea Garden

High up on the 21^st floor of the famous Torch Tower in Aspire Zone, the Torch Tea Garden offers a lovely set-up to enjoy a panoramic afternoon tea with your loved ones. Choose from either the Picnic High Tea or Garden Afternoon Tea option and relish a refreshing welcome drink, a selection of sweet and savory bites, and a choice of tea or coffee.

EllaMia in Mondrian has a beautiful ambiance very reminiscent of a white wonderland. The place offers two options for afternoon tea namely the EllaMia Afternoon Tea and the Wonderland Afternoon Tea which offers an array of savories, desserts, a pie in a jar, and hot beverages.
