PM launches public services delivery app 'Oun' at the inauguration of 5-year Sustainable Strategic Plan

Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated the Sustainable Strategic Plan and its sectors for the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (2018-2022) during a ceremony held at the Doha Sheraton Hotel on Sunday morning.

The ceremony commenced with the launch of the "Oun" application for smart phones. The app is one of the most important smart applications by the municipality in its effort to employ technology in providing services to the public, in addition to many new electronic services. A number of ministers attended the ceremony.

The objectives of the new sustainability strategy focus on the performance of the different sectors of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in serving Qatar, its citizenry and the institution in accordance with strategic planning and government work. These are in the context of specific development objectives and capacity building at all levels.

The inauguration ceremony began with a short film explaining the Sustainable Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment for the next five years (2018-2022) and its most important sectors in the areas of urban planning, agriculture, fisheries, environment, municipalities, as well as public and joint services.
