Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar has stressed the need for global solidarity to defeat the crisis facing the world.
The country continued leading by example as it came to the support of several nations by providing them urgent medical aid to tackle the virus.
On several occasions, Qatar has emphasized the need for the international community to come together and unify efforts to combat this infectious disease.
Once again stressing the need for collective action, Qatar affirmed that "equal access to vaccines is an ethical test and the only way to limit and end this pandemic."
His Excellency Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri highlighted this during the public debate on the updated statement of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, at the Human Rights Council.
