Qatar Airways’ flagship Al Safwa First Lounge at the Hamad International Airport once again earned global acclaim, securing fifth place worldwide and top spot in the Middle East in the 2025 Skytrax First Class Lounge Rankings.
Celebrated for its opulent architecture, impeccable service, and exclusive amenities, the lounge is often described as a hybrid between a five-star hotel and a museum.
Inspired by Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, the vast space features soaring travertine walls, a dramatic water installation, and curated artwork, creating an atmosphere of serene grandeur.

With seating for around 500 guests, the lounge remains calm even during busy hours. Access is reserved mainly for Qatar Airways First Class passengers, oneworld First Class travellers, and Privilege Club Platinum members flying Business Class - although entry can be purchased for QAR600 by eligible Business Class passengers.
The gastronomic offering rivals fine dining restaurants, with a 250-seat a la carte restaurant serving gourmet international and Arabic-inspired dishes such as poached lobster, wagyu carpaccio, and mujadara. A casual deli, children’s menu, and afternoon tea add to the culinary appeal.
The lounge also houses the Qspa, offering jacuzzis, nine treatment rooms, and premium therapies (at an additional fee). Private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms - complimentary for up to six hours - cater to travellers with longer layovers. Families benefit from soundproof suites and age-specific playrooms.
Other features include a business centre, duty-free outlet, cigar room, and spacious relaxation areas - all reinforcing Al Safwa’s reputation as one of the most exclusive and tranquil airport lounges globally.
