Qatar is all set to take part in the Expo 2020 Dubai, slated to kick off this Friday, October 1 and continue until March 31, 2022.

The country’s pavilion at the mega event will be held under the theme “Qatar: The Future is Now,” echoing its pioneering position in leading change, with regard to its vision and success in tackling challenges and global changes, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic.

Commissioner-General and Chairman of the Preparation Committee for Qatar's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, Nasser bin Mohamed Al Muhannadi highlighted the events and activities lined up in Qatar's pavilion, which will focus on the country's march toward achieving its national vision QNV 2030 goals.

Qatar will shine a spotlight on some of its mega projects completed in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup 2022 as well as draw attention to investment opportunities under its diversification plans.

Moreover, the country seeks to use the opportunity to preview its efforts to spearhead and stimulate innovation in science and technology to advance sustainable development.

It will also showcase some of its endeavors to support and endorse artistic and cultural works to enhance communication between countries around the world.

Additionally, the country will underline its role as a safe and global hub for tourism and business, and present an overview of national efforts to preserve domestic resources by investing in sustainable development and environmental protection.

Many important sectors such as Heritage, Geography and Culture; Environmental and Urban Regeneration, Biodiversity and Resource Capital; Industrial Transformations, Champions of Change and Green Economies; and Resourcefulness, innovation and development will be showcased at Doha’s pavilion.
