According to a joint statement issued by Qatar and Brazil, Bolsonaro's official visit to Doha was based on the profound and distinguished relations between the two countries and their reciprocal desire to develop and promote the bilateral relations in all fields.
The visit was particularly significant as it marked the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Brazil.
Qatar and Brazil expressed their satisfaction at the excellent level of bilateral relations in the political, economic and investment fields.
"The two leaders decided to deepen bilateral relations and to strengthen economic cooperation and partnerships in fields such as infrastructure, agribusiness, energy, defense and science, and technology. They acknowledged that these agreements and those already existing would strengthen the framework for the consolidation of the friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Brazil," the joint statement added.
During the visit, Bolsonaro attended a high-level round table that provided updated information to the Qatari business leadership on Brazil's positive macroeconomic scenario and new investment opportunities.
