To alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people amid the current conditions, Qatar Charity (QC) has announced the allocation of $5 million in relief aid for those affected and displaced in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Jerusalem.

QC relief teams in Palestine have been providing urgent aid to the affected families in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Development.

The support is aimed at meeting the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people in light of the tough ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Through its relief teams in Palestine, QC is focusing on providing urgent food and health aid, distributing personal hygiene kits to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic, and rehabilitating and equipping health centers and hospitals to enable them to cater to the largest number of patients possible.

QC has called on the people of Qatar to extend their support toward the relief drive, which will support the displaced and affected Palestinians.

Those who wish to donate can do so through the QC website, app, branches, and collection points across Qatar. You can also dial 44667711 to donate.

The charity also expressed its gratitude toward the generous donors who have supported the campaign and recognized the institutes, companies, restaurants and cafes that have allocated part of their sales profit to the relief drive.

QC started giving out urgent relief aid to help the people of the Gaza Strip by distributing blankets, pillows and mattresses at the beginning of this week.

Director of QC's office in the Gaza Strip, Mohamed Abu Haloub said that QC will implement several projects to support various sectors, in particular, health by providing medicines and medical supplies.

The charity also plans to support other areas such as food security to support the affected families.

Additionally, QC will provide rent for the displaced people whose houses were damaged, the official mentioned.

QC would spare no effort in supporting the people of the Gaza Strip who have been affected by the current events, Abu Haloub stressed.

Qatar has been condemning the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and has called upon the international community to realize its role in ending the oppression.
