‘Tamken’ is an integrated training program launched by Qatar Charity, under the support of Etlaqq Business Management and Bedaya Center.
The program targets individuals with ideas and small projects, those who require training to enter the market, individuals with special needs and those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Qatar Charity’s new program will enable those who wish to start up a project, creating a stable source of income and enhancing their economic, social and psychological skills.
Mr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Emadi, QC’s Director of the Local Development Department, stated, “We, through the community programs, aim to hone the capabilities and energies of people to make them self-reliant, aiming at supporting the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nation”.

Dr. Latifa Al-Darwish, CEO and co-founder of Etlaqq Business Management, stated that the ‘Tamken’ program is a series of workshops that will contribute to transforming ideas of individuals into successful commercial projects, adding to society’s economic value. Moreover, the workshop will cover topics like marketing, visual identify and project management, based on the model adopted in the state of Qatar.
Targeting 30 participants for the first phase of the program, the workshop will help individuals to introduce products into the market and develop projects, according to Mr. Abdullah Al-Saeed, a member of the Board of Directors and officer-in-charge of the Bedaya Center.
Moreover, further demand for the program will see additional workshops with the support of Qatar Charity in the future.
