As part of the "Warmth and Peace" campaign last year, Qatar Charity organized many activities in Qatar to raise awareness of the humanitarian conditions of refugees and displaced persons in refugee camps and the winter needs of workers inside Qatar.

Every year, Qatar Charity provides aid to workers in Qatar as part of its campaign to confront the winter season. With winter being a few weeks away, Qatar Charity will once again be taking the initiative to create awareness through various activities and provide assistance through the supply of winter bags and food baskets to workers in Qatar.

Qatar Charity, in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Traffic Department, Aster Medical Center, and voluntary initiatives, contributed to the distribution of many winter bags in Qatar. To alleviate the burden of the cold, the winter bags contained winter clothes and blankets, among other things.

The campaign also provided medical examinations, organized lectures and workshops to spread health awareness amongst the workers and the general public in Qatar. Qatar Charity aims to revive the principle of giving, happiness to the needy, and the participation of community members in initiatives, in appreciation of their role in the process of supporting Qatar and constructing its infrastructure to achieve its national vision 2030.

Qatar Charity collaborated with Aster Medical Center and the ambulance team from Qatar Red Crescent to provide first aid kits, conduct medical examinations and host awareness workshops. Additionally, 1000 winter bags were distributed with the support of various commercial centres in Qatar.

It is expected that the upcoming winter will be more challenging with the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring more people to show their support and help those vulnerable to the negative impacts of harsh cold weather.
