Since the start of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, Qatar has been stressing the need for international solidarity and combined efforts to overcome the challenge.
Upon the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the country has generously given medical as well as financial aid to nations deeply impacted by the virus.
In the last four months, Qatar has come to the aid of more than 22 countries including Belarus, China, Iran, Italy, Lebanon, Nepal, Palestine, among others.
As it intensifies its own fight against COVID-19 locally, Qatar continues to play an exceptional role in helping other countries as they deal with the pandemic.
Keeping up this humanitarian spirit, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Paraguay delivered aid by Qatar Charity to the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare in Paraguay.

The aid comprises medical equipment, supplies, and devices to tackle COVID-19. This is in addition to 500 food parcels and hygiene kits.
Paraguay's Minister of Public Health and Social Welfare Julio Mazzoleni received the aid in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Rivas Palacios and Acting Charge D'affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Paraguay Saeed bin Hamad Al Marri.
During a ceremony that took place in the Ministry Mazzoleni expressed his gratefulness to Qatar Charity for this assistance. The Minister also spoke highly of the good relations between Qatar and Paraguay.
"We appreciate the assistance coming from the friendly State of Qatar, especially in light of these difficult circumstances," he added.
HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs also thanked Qatar Charity for the support.
Acting Charge D'affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Paraguay Saeed bin Hamad Al Marri delivered a speech in which he highlighted the strong relations that link Qatar and Paraguay and the constant efforts to continue to bolster them in several fields.
Al Marri thanked Qatar Charity for its humanitarian work to support those in need across the globe and the impact this assistance had, particularly in light of the current challenge.
