Qatar National Day activities will be held across various locations in the country this year, the Organizing Committee has announced.

To be celebrated under the slogan, “Ancestral Meadows: A Matter of Trust,” the events will highlight national pride and unity and will be held in different areas including Al Wakra Old Souq, Aspire Park, Qatar Foundation (QF) and Al Ramii Sports Club.

They will also be broadcasted live on big screens at the locations giving more people the opportunity to be part of the celebrations. Qatar National Day video clips and documentaries will also be shown on the screens and Qatari flags will be distributed amongst the spectators.

At Al Wakra Old Souq, games and competitions related to heritage, will keep participants entertained. The games will be held from December 14 to 18.

Additionally, there will be an event focusing on taking photographs inspired by the Qatari heritage along with an exhibition of old photography equipment.

Other attractions will include: an exhibition of the local marine heritage, an interactive show on modern sailboats, a quiz competition, heritage games, a formative arts exhibition and painting activities, and some theatrical shows on related themes. The activities will cover all age groups.

Other activities will include shooting contests and traditional Qatari dance performances, which will be held at Aspire Park and Al Wakra from December 14 to 18 and at Qatar Foundation from December 12 to 14.

Another activity to look forward to is the choral singing by school students to be held at Aspire Park and Al Wakra from December 14 to 18 and on December 13 to 17 at Qatar Foundation.

Citizens and residents of Qatar can celebrate Qatari culture at the Aspire Park, which will hold various interactive events on Qatari traditions and ways of life between December 14 to 18. Arabic coffee and local music will redouble the joy of the celebrations.

Other activities include camel riding, live painting activities focusing on various components of the local environment.

Al Ramii Sports Club will feature a number of archery activities at Aspire as well, while Qatari traditional dance shows will be featured with the participation of various entities.

QND activities will be staged at the D'reesha performing arts festival that will be held at Qatar Foundation from today until December 17, between 5 pm and 8 pm, with various related theatrical shows and performances.
