The Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the detention of a cosmetic surgeon and a Medical Center Director, referring them to the competent criminal court for practising medicine without a valid license.

The investigation, initiated by the Public Prosecution, revealed that the surgeon continued to operate at a private medical center despite a formal suspension by the Ministry of Public Health. This suspension was previously issued following multiple complaints regarding medical errors.

The director of the Medical Center was also apprehended for knowingly allowing the surgeon to practice while under suspension. Both individuals now face sentencing under the Law Regulating the Practice of Medicine, emphasizing Qatar's strict stance on patient safety and professional accountability.
