Driving schools in Qatar is all set to introduce a new unified smart training system, which was recently approved by the Traffic Department, reported Qatar Tribune.
Developed by Holoteq Company, the new smart e-learning system brings new methods of training people seeking to acquire a driving licence in a simple and effective way by replacing theoretical instructors with a digital system.
Its aim is to impart effective training by eliminating the chances of manipulation during learning hours through monitoring of the driving training sessions.
“The system provides new academic methods to raise traffic awareness among learners and eventually help in reducing the number of accidents and traffic violations. The new smart e-learning system obliges the trainee to go through all theoretical lessons. It displays the topics in a professional and simplified way in many languages,” said Holoteq Smart Solutions Chairman Eng Nabil Attiya.
Since theoretical courses are available in different languages, it will eliminate the issue of trainees failing to understand their instructors due to language problems.
The new system will provide each trainee a tablet with a user name and password to make sure they are the ones who have attended the classes and calculate the number of hours spent on each course.
Officials at the Traffic Department have welcomed the new step, saying it will help in raising traffic awareness before issuing driving licences.
The new system is also expected to reduce paper consumption by 80% as most of the study materials are in digital format.
“Trainees can also interact with the new system as they’re able to ask questions in their mother tongue and get answers through simple video clips that explain the safest traffic behaviours and regulations,” said Attiya.
