The General Directorate of Traffic has opened a new office at the Hamad International Airport (HIA) as part of its plans to expand its services to various parts of the country, reported Gulf Times.
The new office, which is intended to facilitate citizens and residents, currently works in the mornings and provides various services to the public such as driving licence and vehicle registration, payment of traffic fines and renewal of driving licence, among others, according to The Peninsula.
The office, which is located opposite the departures terminal at HIA, will also enable travellers to pay fines in case of traffic violations before their departure, reported Qatar Tribune.
Non-payment of traffic fines can prevent them from leaving the country and can also lead to cancellation of the number plates of their vehicles.
