Qatar Tourism has been organising many activities in recent times, under various banners, attracting thousands of spectators at each event.

And now, even more activities are being planned for the summer and a detailed announcement will come soon, said a senior Qatar Tourism official.

Qatar Tourism’s Director of Shared Services Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber said people living in the country should keep a close watch on the Visit Qatar website for more updates.

“We’ll announce more activities during the summer within a couple of weeks. It’ll start from the end of August and continue into September and will consist of mainly five activities. We urge the public to visit our website and check Qatar calendar to be updated with all activities around the country,” Al Jaber was quoted as saying.

Qatar Tourism had earlier announced a series of fun-filled events, offers, and activities during Qatar’s summer season. While the just-concluded Qatar Toy Festival attracted over 75,000 visitors, the eighth edition of the Souq Waqif Local Dates Festival also saw huge crowds and was a resounding success.

While several entertainment areas are available for children across the country, several hotels also come out with attractive packages to attract the summer vacation crowd.

The Aspire Summer Camp 2023, which runs until August 10, and the PSG Academy’s Summer Programmes (until August 24) are some activities which children can attend.

There will also be summer camps at the Qatar National Library (until August 24), a Hand Building Clay Workshop at Heenat Salma Farm (until August 31), and a series of workshops at the Katara Cultural Village (until September 2).
