Qatar Tourism has been awarded the Qatar Government Excellence Awards (GEA), recognising its outstanding performance, institutional excellence, and commitment to advancing public-sector governance in line with national priorities. The award is presented under the Qatar Government Excellence Programme, led by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB), to honour government entities that demonstrate measurable impact, strong leadership, and sustained organisational performance.

The recognition follows a comprehensive assessment process conducted in October 2025, during which Qatar Tourism was evaluated across four core pillars encompassing leadership and strategy, value creation, institutional resources, and impact. The award reflects the organisation’s consistent focus on strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing operational efficiency, and embedding a culture of excellence across its functions.

On this occasion, His Excellency Saad Bin Ali Al-Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, said “Receiving the Qatar Government Excellence Award marks a significant institutional milestone for Qatar Tourism and affirms our commitment to translating the leadership’s vision into sustained, measurable performance. This recognition reflects the strength of our governance, the discipline of our operating model, and our continued focus on embedding excellence across strategy, planning, and execution. For us, excellence is a strategic imperative that begins within the organisation and underpins our ability to lead the tourism sector effectively, contribute to economic diversification, and advance the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
