Qatar continues to enrich its portfolio with top awards and recognitions.
In the latest such achievement, Qatar’s Special Forces’ Parachuting Force team earned three gold medals in the World Military Parachute Jumping Championship held in Switzerland.
The championship drew 17 teams from 11 countries around the world.

The Qatari team won the gold medal for free skydiving with a score of 186 points, seconded by Spain, who scored 171 points and Germany who came third with 163 points.
The country’s national team also outshined competing teams in the Air Tunnel competition, with 293 points. Germany came second with 269 points while Spain was in third place with 260 points.

Qatar also took the lead to win the gold medal in the four-way formation. Qatar secured 15 points ahead of Spain. Germany came third in this category of the championship.
Joint Special Forces Commander Major General Hamad bin Abdullah Al Fetais Al Marri, dedicated the victory to the wise leadership of the country.
He lauded the Qatari team’s victory, calling it a great achievement.
