Qatar Youth Hostels, which aims to encourage young people to travel and explore the world, recently took part in the 44th World Youth Rally in Seoul, South Korea. 

The Korean Youth Hostel, in cooperation with Hostelling International (HI), organized the event held under the theme "Be Friends, Best Friends."

The World Youth Rally is an annual event that provides a learning platform for young delegates from all over the world.

The event is held under four main themes: building friendships beyond prejudice and differences, discussions based on Global Citizen Education (GCED), traveling the city and [exploring] nature with a Korean team leader, and thinking about world peace.

More than 150 students from different countries joined the event that also highlighted the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The participation of Qatar Youth Hostels in the World Youth Rally was part of the Youth Hostel's strategy to strengthen international relations with its counterparts abroad, exchange experiences and cultures and discuss international issues within the goals of sustainable development to build a network of friends.

The Qatar Youth Hostels said it set up a special pavilion to introduce the delegations from 15 countries to Qatar's culture.

Qatar was the only Arab country that attended this youth gathering this year.

The participation also highlighted the achievements of Qatar in all aspects of development, health, education, economy, and sustainable development. 

The Qatari youth delegation visited key tourist attractions in Seoul. They also invited their counterparts to participate in the diverse programs of Qatar Youth Hostels, including the much popular 'Discover Qatar in 144 hours'.
