Qatari runner, Musab Adam is all set to prove his mettle at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, in the 1500-meter race, after officially qualifying for the mega sporting event in the qualifying race yesterday.

Musab achieved a time of 3.32.41 minutes in the qualifying race held yesterday in cooperation with the Qatar Athletics Federation, Aspire Academy and Aspetar.

Other athletes Jamal Hayran, Ismail Noureddine, and Abdulrahman Hassan also took part in the qualifying race that saw Musab race at the top to successfully achieve the required qualification number.

Musab joins the other young, dynamic and high-spirited "Al-Adaam" champions, Moataz Barshim (high jump), Abdelrahman Samba (400-meter hurdles race), Ashraf Al Saifi (hammer toppling), and Abu Bakr Haidar (800-meter race), who had previously been confirmed to compete in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The much-anticipated 2020 Summer Olympics games are set to take place in Tokyo from July 30 to August 8.
