Qatar’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has caught an individual discharging sewage water in an unauthorised location.

“As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the local environment and biodiversity, we observed the individual discharging sewage water in an unauthorised location, causing environmental pollution in the area and harming the plant ecosystem and its components,” the Ministry said in a social media post.

“This occurred during an extensive inspection campaign conducted by one of the patrols of the Terrestrial Protection Department in the northern region, where patrol members took the necessary legal actions against the violator,” it added.

The individual was referred to the responsible authorities to complete the procedures, it said.
