Qatar and Oman have enjoyed longstanding brotherly relations, which have grown stronger in recent years through increased cooperation across various fields including economy, trade and security.

As the two nations work toward bolstering ties, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani met with Oman’s Minister of Interior HE Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi yesterday.

The two ministers discussed the strong fraternal ties between their countries and explored ways of boosting them, particularly in the field of security.

Qatar’s PM and the Omani minister also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and around the world.

HE Sheikh Khalid hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of HE Sayyid Hamoud as well as the delegation accompanying him.

The Omani minister and his accompanying delegation arrived in Doha yesterday and were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by HE Sheikh Khalid and the Ambassador of Oman to Qatar.
