The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Committee's Safety & Security Operations Committee (SSOC) held a news conference on May 21, 2022, to unveil the specifics of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Last-Mile Conference. The press conference was addressed by Maj Gen Eng Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al-Ansari, Head of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Safety & Security Operations Committee, Brig Ibrahim Khalil Al-Mohannadi, Head of the Committee's Legal Affairs and Communication Unit, and Brig Abdullah Khalifa Al-Muftah, Head of the Media Unit.

Major General Al-Ansari stated that the Security Committee's Safety & Security Operations Committee (SSOC) will host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Last-Mile Match under the patronage of H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Chairman of the Security Committee at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), with the participation of local, regional, and international stakeholders and partners.

In partnership with local, regional, and international stakeholders, the conference defined Qatar's security readiness ahead of Qatar 2022, and attempted to identify the most recent preparations for the tournament, increase police cooperation, and monitor the implementation of plans and strategies. The event also ensured that tournament organizers and eligible countries work together.

The meeting featured a number of celebrities, including delegates from qualified countries, representatives from the United Nations, FIFA, the Supereme Committee, and many other international and local organizations, as well as representatives from other key stakeholders. A tournament overview, security risk assessment, security planning, security procedures at tournament facilities, cyber security requirements, communication and collaboration with international partners were all on the agenda for the conference.

The International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC) has been built in Doha, according to Major General Al-Ansari, to ensure the greatest levels of security and stability for all fans during the 2022 World Cup. It is a committee-managed and supervised operations room that has been outfitted with the most current technology tools and infrastructure to enable the center to fulfill its mission and meet its goals. At the center, a crew of young certified policemen with exceptional skills have been assigned.

Brig Al Mohannadi emphasized the IPCC's importance in exchanging information between Qatar, as a host country, participating and non-participating countries, and important international organizations. He went on to say that the conference provided an opportunity to improve cooperation and communication with countries as well as international and regional organizations.

Brig Al Muftah, for his part, stated that the conference will covered a wide range of important topics, and that the tournament's Safety & Security Operations Committee has worked to implement its security strategy and plans in the areas of training and qualifying personnel, as well as enhancing international and regional cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, since its inception.

The SSOC has also conducted several field exercises to guarantee Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup is safe and secure.
