Qatar has added another impressive victory to its list of achievements.

The country's special forces parachuting team secured the top position at the German International Paragliding Championship, which concluded in Calden, Germany, yesterday.

The winning team, Qatar Falcons, was among the eight teams that took part in the championship.

Among these, the Germans participated in six groups, the French in one group and the Qatari team in one group, respectively.

The triumph is particularly important as the Qatar Falcons set the highest Asian record in the second jump with 24 points, breaking the previous record score of 23 points in the World Championships in Australia.

The Qatari team tops the overall standings with 148 points, and the German team finished second with 128 points.

Qatar's team includes: Abdullah Ahmad Al Jamadi, Ghanem Khalifa Al Kubaisi, Abdullah Abdul Khawar, Bilal Mohsen Al Hajaji, Salem Rashid Al Sunaid, Mohammed Mahmoud Shams, Khalifa Saleh Al Ali, Saad Salem Al Ali and Saeed Taleb Al Marri.
