Every Sunday, the Qatar Living content team will share their personal recommendations for everything from apps to films and brunches this week in Qatar. As a multinational group, there's a diversity of choices and preference that we hope will cater to everybody.

1. Teatro Restaurant at City Centre Rotana

There's a restaurant in City Centre Rotana Doha that I recommend visiting. If you feel in the mood for trying a fusion of Chinese, Indian, Italian, Japanese or Thai food, then look no further than Teatro. When I hear the name Teatro, only Italian food comes to mind. But this restaurant offers diners all of the above cuisines and I have to say they nail all of the concepts well.

The decor of the restaurant is glamorous, decked out in dark colors like deep red and purple. Guests can watch the live cooking of their food at the restaurant's show kitchen or sushi bar.

I particularly enjoyed the crunchy green bean tempura for starters, the sushi platter, the grilled Hamour and the spaghetti Aragosta with lobster chunks and tomato cream. It is a great restaurant to enjoy privacy and great food.

Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday from 12:30 p.m. till 1:00 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m.

2. Lusail Shooting Club

Today, I am going to recommend something that most of you probably didn't even know existed in this country. Did you know Qatar has its very own shooting range? It's called the Lusail Shooting Club, located around 18km from Doha. It is truly a fun and unique experience for groups or individuals available nowhere else in the country.

Clay-pigeon (skeet) shooting is open to the public and costs QAR 100 for a box of 25 shotgun shells. And no, you do not have to bring your own gun.

If you are inexperienced at shooting, you will be constantly supervised, both for safety reasons and to ensure that you have fun. The supervisor will even advise you on how to hold the shotgun with the proper stance.

If you're up for something different this weekend, invite your friends to a challenge and see who the better shooter is.

The shooting range is open from 4pm to 8pm, Saturday to Thursday.

3. WWE Royal Rumble 2018 (WWE Network, OSN)

It's now time for the ROYAL RUMBLE! The road to WrestleMania starts with annual 30-man over the top battle royal. Featuring some of the WWE's best stars, and hopefully some surprises, wrestling fans are in for a treat tonight. If you're a die hard WWE fan, then tune in early Monday morning to catch the action live (3am), or stream it anytime afterwards on the WWE Network. This year's event is super special, as for the first time there will be a women's Royal Rumble. Rumour is Rhonda Rousey will finally make her WWE debut and win (I'm ok with that). As for the men, my hopes are that Shinsuke Nakamura picks up the surprise win and we get the Nakamura vs. AJ Styles Wrestlemania main event we deserve. Who are your picks?

4. Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Little Shop of Horrors is a musical about a lowly flower shop clerk who unwittingly becomes a serial killer when he makes a faustian bargain for fame and fortune with a man-eating plant from outer space.

It mixes a kitschy sci-fi B-movie aesthetic with memorable musical numbers (including one about the sadistic pleasures of working as a dentist) and features some really emotionally effective performances that manage to make you empathize with the characters despite the film’s absurd premise. The movie has two endings—the theatrical version and director’s cut. The director’s cut provides a more thematically appropriate ending but leaves a bad taste in the mouth so just go for the theatrical version for your first viewing.

Little Shop of Horrors is worth a watch if you like any of the following: Grease (1978), Mars Attacks (1996), “Fun”.

5. Adobe Lightroom on IOS

Most professionals who work in the media and graphics industry will probably be familiar with the Adobe editing software, but some might not be aware that there's an app version, available for download in your phone.

This week I'd like to shine the light on Adobe Lightroom. It's similar to Photoshop but way easier to use, making it perfect for even photography newbies or Instagram aficionados to master.

If you shoot photos in Raw, this app really gives your shadows extra depth and your highlights pop.

I'd definitely recommend this app if you prefer using your phone to edit and still want quality images.

6. The Matrix (1999)

I got caught up with watching one of my favorite movies. The matrix, it’s a great action sci-fi movie which is set in a dystopian world controlled by machinery, where the people live in a simulated reality called “The Matrix”. Neo, a computer programmer, learns about this reality and has decided to pursue a rebellion against the machines.

7. Chungking Express (1994)

I'd seen Wong Kar Wai's In The Mood For Love (2000) and The Grandmaster (2013), but hadn't touched his famous Chungking Express (1994) till last week.

This Hong Kong drama film is made up of two stories told in sequence, each about a lovesick Hong Kong policeman mulling over his relationship with a woman.

Watch it.
