Revenues from restaurants at Katara and Aspire today (January 15) will be donated to help Syrian refugees in the camps of Arsal, a Lebanese border town, The Peninsula reported.
The Katara Cultural Village General Manager, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, made the announcement on Twitter yesterday.

The restaurants that are donating money to this cause are Burgeri, Chac'late, le Vesuvio, L'wzaar Seafood Market, Marsa Katara, Sukar Basha, Red Velvet, Sugar & Spice, Coffeeshop Company, Miogusto, Poffertjes, Ard Canaan, Chapati & Karak, Khan Farouk Tarab café and Kava.
Harsh storms and winter conditions have all but paralysed life for displaced Syrians as aid could not reach Lebanon’s eastern border town after they escaped the civil war in their country.
The number of refugees is said to be around 60,000.
In the meantime, under the supervision of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), Qatar Charity (QC) has launched the 'Arsal Relief' campaign to provide immediate assistance to Syrian refugees affected by winter weather conditions.
