Mondrian Doha is a utopia of sophistication, elegance, and absolute indulgence, offering its guests the ideal destination to escape into a world of luxury. We decided to unwind and treat ourselves to an opulent weekend at Mondrian Doha and booked a staycation at this stunning hotel.

Mondrian Doha’s stunning rooms and suites are a treat to the senses with their elegant décor and plush amenities. Each of the hotel’s rooms and suites is custom-designed by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders and reflects uniqueness in each aspect.

We checked in at 3 pm and headed for a scrumptious lunch at CUT by acclaimed restauranteur Wolfgang Puck. The restaurant delights the guests with its selection of locally-sourced ingredients alongside the finest choice of beef cuts. If a late brunch is your thing, then CUT offers a Party Brunch that satisfies your cravings each Friday from 12.30 till 3.30 pm. The prices are QAR 315 per person for a basic package and QAR 465 for an enhanced one.

The hotel also houses Hudson Tavern where patrons can enjoy the best of handcrafted burgers and cold brews. Every Saturday, the restaurant offers a Saturday Roast 2-course menu from 12.30—4 pm. The cost is QAR 125 per person with an additional QAR 250 for extra 2 hours.

We then decided to go for a dip at the hotel’s rooftop pool on the 26th floor. Situated in a luxurious set-up, the indoor pool is right under a beautiful mosaiced ceiling and features a splendid chandelier and contemporary pool-side décor that transports you to a unique pool experience.

Our post-swim nap had us back at our suite and we settled in for a short afternoon siesta. Reenergized post-nap, we headed to EllaMia Doha for a decadent Afternoon Tea. Prices at QAR 175 and QAR 250 per set, the tea variation set includes indulgent desserts and a premium selection of hot brews of your choice. We absolutely loved the Afternoon No 5 experience, coupled with the beautiful ambiance of the Frozen Forest lounge.

To top off the amazing staycation, we capped off the night with a sophisticated dinner at the sushi bar, Morimoto. The restaurant is the first of its name in the Middle East and enhances the guest’s taste palette with the finest Japanese cuisine.

Our weekend at Mondrian was definitely a treat to the senses and offered an exceptionally magnificent experience at one of the most unique properties in Qatar. Mondrian Doha’s ultra-sophisticated décor, striking rooms, and varied culinary experiences are sure to transport you to another world altogether.
