The second edition of the Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition — S’hail 2018 — came to an end yesterday.
This year’s exhibition, which attracted over 116,400 visitors since September 4, was a huge success, reported Gulf Times.

The exhibition, held on a 10,000SqM space at the Katara Cultural Village, saw the participation of more than 150 international and local companies, from 20 nations, specialising in weaponry and hunting equipments.
Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, who was also Chairman of the S'hail exhibition Organising Committee, expressed his gratitude to partners and participants who made the exhibition a success.
“The exhibition was a tremendous opportunity to showcase Qatar’s culture and heritage to the world. It reflects Qatar’s deep commitment to the same,” he was quoted as saying by Qatar Tribune.

The award for Best Pavilion at the exhibition went to the Toyota team, who received a prize of QR30,000.
Prizes worth $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 were awarded to the first, second and third winners respectively in the Most Beautiful Hood category.
The exhibition also offered lectures on falconry and breeding falcons, delivered by experts in the field, in addition to awareness lectures on safe hunting trips and overland safaris.

The auction at S’hail 2018 featured the finest falcons from Qatar and other countries, while food items on offer at the eateries with dedicated kitchens included the meat of birds, deer and rabbit procured from fresh hunts and prepared by top chefs.
