Giving further clarification on the same, a senior Ministry official said the weekly antigen test will be mandatory for the next two weeks at least, during which the situation shall be monitored and new measures would be suggested accordingly. The rapid antigen testing kits will be provided to public school students through their affiliated schools.
Mohammed Al Maraghi, the Director of Health and Safety Department at the Ministry of Education clarified that all students are required to do the rapid antigen test even if they are vaccinated. Unvaccinated, vaccinated, or recovered students from all classes and kindergarten must do the test on a weekly basis until further notice.
The results of the antigen tests are to be submitted to the school by parents through declaration forms. The schools have already begun sending parent/guardian declaration forms for the same. Parents will have to fill in with the required details and confirm that the results of the antigen test taken at home are negative. They also need to acknowledge that the information submitted in the form is right.

The declaration form asks for the student name, school name, QID number, class, antigen test date & time, and test results. Students who test negative are allowed to attend when they present a declaration form. Those with defective/positive results cannot attend school and must visit the nearing PHCC to follow prescribed measures.
