The Pearl-Qatar is an artificial island in Doha. Spanning about 4 million square meters, the island gets its name from the fact that it is built on one of the country’s previous pearl-diving sites. In recent years, it has become a thriving residential, shopping and leisure centre in the country.
The Pearl is made up of 12 precincts or districts, each with its own defining architectural features and perks. These include residential villas, apartments and townhouses, as well as a number of entertainment facilities—including a plethora of restaurants, cafes and other eateries—, marinas and beaches.
