Snoonu continues to play an increasingly central role in Qatar’s digital transformation agenda, supporting the modernization of essential public services in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. One example is the Tamwin programme, where Snoonu serves as an official digital channel, helping citizens access monthly allocations of key food and household essentials through a more streamlined and technology-enabled model.
Tamwin, overseen by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), is Qatar’s national ration-card programme designed to ensure consistent access to core supplies. As part of the ministry’s wider push to enhance service delivery, the programme has already been modernised through a digital-first distribution approach.
Through the Snoonu app, citizens have been able for some time to order their Tamwin entitlements directly, without the need for in-person visits, with allocations delivered conveniently to their doorstep. The service combines real-time tracking, a simple user journey, and Snoonu’s integrated logistics infrastructure, offering a faster and more accessible way to benefit from a key national initiative.
Fully embedded within the ministry’s service ecosystem, Snoonu contributes operational reliability, data protection standards, and customer-focused delivery capabilities, demonstrating how local digital platforms can bridge innovation with everyday life.
The initiative reflects Qatar’s broader commitment to building a smarter, more inclusive economy, where technology strengthens access, efficiency, and citizen-centered public services.
