Souq Al Wakrah is a great place to spend the day with family and friends because of its relaxing ambiance. You'll enjoy a more authentic souq because of the squares' historic architecture and design. The family-friendly beaches along the coast are just a short drive away. You may buy souvenirs there, eat at a nearby café, and wander along the beach. It is a crowded market. Local vendors and beach eateries dotted the streets as well. You feel transported back in time by the market's rural atmosphere and the inhabitants and visitors buying locally crafted items.

Following are some of the things you can do at the souq:

Have a scrumptious meal

Numerous eateries and coffee shops are positioned next to the parking lot along the beach. Although there are many other types of food available, seafood is the most common. Try Danat Al Bahar BBQ Fish for grilled fish, Yemeni food at Al Fanar restaurant next to the beach, Italian food at Mercato Antico, Gharissa ice cream to cool down, or Bennigan's diner next to the large parking lot for diner fare.

Take a stroll

One of Souq Al Wakrah's beauties is its twisting passageways that lead to the beach, evoking a classic Arabian town and market. Explore the courtyards and alleyways to see what hidden treasures you might discover. In Qatar, photographers and fans of photography frequently use these tunnels.

Enjoy taking a stroll in the cool evening air, breathing in the clean, salty air of the ocean, and taking in the beautiful scenery. If you need some fresh air away from dense crowds, the location is actually a terrific spot to go because it is not often that congested.

Take your kids to the play area

Children may come here at any time to hang out with their pals and have fun. The Souq Al Wakrah children's play area is rather extensive and may occupy kids for hours on end. There are slides, a ton of swings, a pirate ship, and even miniature rock climbing walls in this play area, which encourages kids to keep active while having fun.

Ride a pony

Take advantage of the opportunity to travel in a horse-drawn buggy for two and thoroughly experience the nighttime Souq. It truly is a one-of-a-kind event that transports you back in time. For a little cost, young children can also ride a pony inside an enclosure.

Go shopping

Five of Al Wakrah Old Souq's ten zones have markets or sections specifically designated for selling goods like dates, nuts, fish, cheese, flowers, sweets, women's accessories, perfume, gold, souvenirs, meat, vegetables, fruits, spices, handicrafts, utensils, swords, carpet, birds and animals, wood, and marine equipment.

Al Wakrah Old Souq is worth checking out especially if you love less crowded places.
