1. Qatar International Boat Show 2019

Boat enthusiasts in the country has reasons to rejoice as the sixth edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) kicked off on 12th March and runs until 16th March 2019 from 2:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
The event is taking place at 25-29 La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar.
It will be held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the State of Qatar.
QIBS 2019 will be showcasing “top-quality boats highlighting the art of craftsmanship” from a number of countries, including Qatar, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Turkey, France, India, the US and Kuwait, the organizers have said. It will also introduce the region’s boat enthusiasts to the latest technological advancements, reported Gulf Times.
As per the organizers, this year, the show expects to attract more than 30 impressive motorboats and luxury yachts which will be displayed both on land and water.
2. Katara Beach Volleyball Cup 2019

The Cultural Village Foundation is organizing the 5th edition of the Katara Beach Volleyball championship. This year, it is going to take place at Katara Amphitheatre. There is going to be 56 teams participating for 28 different countries.

3. Tasmeem Doha Art and Design Conference 2019

Tasmeem Doha is an international, biennial art and design conference hosted and organized by VCUarts Qatar since 2004.
Each edition of Tasmeem Doha highlights a unique and contemporary theme within art and design, exploring novel concepts, methods, and applications, and engaging in critical discussions.
The theme of Tasmeem Doha 2019 is Hekayat. Hekayat means stories, narratives, tales, and anecdotes in Arabic. It is a theme not exclusive to art and design, but relatable across many disciplines!
Tasmeem Doha 2019 activities are appropriate for ages 16+.

5. Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Want to know more about Knitting and Crochet? Join the circle at Qatar National Library every Thursday.

Qatar International Food Festival 2019

Qatar’s most-awaited food festival each year is all set to take on March 20 and run until March 30, 2019 at the Oxygen Park in Qatar Foundation (QF).
This year’s QIFF will mark the festival’s 10th year anniversary and is being tailored to bring some exciting new elements on the scene in a modified format for residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy.
The Festival, which will take place in collaboration between Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and QF, is the country’s longest-running food and beverage tradition that combines culinary arts with family entertainment.
The QIFF 2019 will be a food lovers’ haven with about 150 F&B stalls spread over three dedicated areas at one of the most gorgeous and picturesque venues in Qatar, dubbed as the “Green Lung.”
At the Festival, area 01 will offer main course specialties, 02 will focus on kid-friendly foods and activities and 03 will be dedicated for cafes and light food coupled with private seating areas where pre-set menus will be served.
Over the last decade, QIFF has grown as a festival and so has its contribution to the country’s thriving dining scene by attracting international chefs to open local outlets and support local businesses.
This year, the Festival has dedicated 15% of its spaces to up-and-coming entrepreneurs and local Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to provide them with a suitable platform to introduce their F&B offerings in the market.
A.R. Rahman - Live in Qatar 2019

Bringing his inimitable music to Qatar, the performance adds to the activities part of the Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019 presented by Katara Studios.
