If you have ever wondered about the rapid development of Qatar over the years and how all of this came to be, it is well worth your time to visit an intriguing exhibition set up by Qatar Museums. The exhibition features the magnificent journey of Qatar’s growth over the years, starting way back from 1950.

2. QNB Stars League: Round 2

Dates: August 29-31
Where: Al Sadd Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium
Time: 5:10 pm and 7:20 pm

Week 2 fixtures will witness two matches each being played on August 29, August 30, and August 31.
The fixtures are Al Wakrah vs Qatar SC (5:10 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) and Al Duhail vs Al Arabi (7:20 pm at Al Janoub Stadium) on Thursday, Al Khor vs Umm Salal (5:10 pm at Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Rayyan vs Al Gharafa (7:20 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on Friday and Al Ahli vs Al Sailiya (5:10 pm, Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Shahania vs Al Sadd (7:20 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on Saturday.
3. Shapes and Hues

Dates: August 25-30
Where: Building 22, Gallery 2, Katara Cultural Village
Time: 10:00 am and 10:00 pm
Entry: Entry is free for all
Katara Cultural Village in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Philippines invites everyone to explore Hugis at Kulay “Shapes and Hues” exhibition by artist Frederick Epistola.
4. Pakistan Souq

Dates: August 30
Where: Regency Halls
Time: 11:00 am and 9:00 pm
Entry: Entry is free for all
Pakistan Souq is the first Pakistan-Centric platform in Qatar which will offer Pakistani craftsmanship, traditional attire, authentic food and much more.
Join them this weekend at Regency Halls as they are launching Pakistan Souq.
5. A Dream in a Film

Dates: August 30
Where: Qatar National Library
Time: 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm

This film is directed by Nour Al-Kuwari, a Qatari engineering student at Qatar University who formed a group with her friends to make films which inspires the youth of Qatar.
This film is about Khalifa, a 15-year-old boy who has a vivid imagination but lives without a goal in life because of his surroundings. People don't give him space to express his imagination and to accomplish his desires until he gets the opportunity to discover himself.
6. Back To School – Doha Festival City

Dates: August 22 to August 30, 2019
Time: 3:00 pm to 10:00 am, Thursday-Friday 3:00 pm – 12:00 am
Where: Doha Festival City
Entry: Entry is free for all
Doha Festival City launched 'Back to School’ season on August 22 which runs until August 30, with a community initiative in collaboration with Qatar Charity.
Shoppers are invited to donate new school backpacks including items such as pencil cases, stationery and more, in a giant backpack, located opposite to Monoprix store on the Ground Floor.
After the donation, shoppers will receive vouchers worth up to QAR 50 to be spent in participating stores, Harvey Nichols-Doha, Salam Kido, Kipling, DAISO, Centrepoint, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and Marks & Spencer at Doha Festival City.
Shoppers can register themselves, donate and receive gift cards from one of the participating sponsor retailers.
