Customs officers at Hamad International Airport (HIA) arrested an Asian traveller after he was found carrying drugs when he arrived in Doha.

The substances included around 1 kilo of marijuana, 20 Tramadol pills and some kind ofwhite powder. Inspection of the traveller's bag led to the discovery of the marijuana, wrapped in carbon paper and put in a container of liquid food.

The pills and the white powder were hidden in a sweets bag. HIA's Customs Department acting director Ajab al-Gahtani told the daily that the customs inspectors were trained to detect suspects by observing their behaviour.
